FAQ’s

How far in advance should I book my appointment?

We schedule appointments seven days a week.  We do not take walk-ins, you must have an appointment.  Depending on the day of the week and the time of the day, you may need to call a day or two in advance.  Around the Holidays, weekends and week nights tend to book quicker.  We suggest a day or two in advance on regular business days.

Cancellation Policy

As a courtesy to our therapist, please give 24 hours notice for cancellation of any appointment. We reserve the right to charge for appointments scheduled and not cancelled 24 hours prior. If a client can not make an appointment and does not call to cancel the appointment will also have to secure their next appointment with a credit card or pay in advance.

Gratuity?

Clients always ask if they should tip and what is the proper amount to tip your therapist.  The service prices do not include gratuity for the therapist, so if you feel your therapist has given exceptional service please feel free to tip.  On the average clients tip between 10% and 20%.

What is massage therapy?

Massage therapy spans a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, working to improve an individual's health and well- being through the hands on manipulation of muscles and other soft tissues of the body.

What are the key benefits of massage therapy?

Physical: massage therapy is designed to stretch and loosen muscles, improve blood flow and movement of lymph throughout the body, facilitate the removal of metabolic wastes resulting from exercise or inactivity, and increase the flow of oxygen and nutrients to cells and tissue.  In addition, massage stimulates the release of endorphins-- the body’s natural painkiller-- into the brain and nervous system.

Psychological: massage therapy provides a relaxed state of alertness, reduces mental stress, and enhances capacity for calm thinking and creativity.

Emotional:
Massage therapy satisfies the need for caring and nurturing touch, creates a feeling of well-being, and reduces anxiety levels.

What to wear?

Generally, undress completely for body services. Therapists drape towels or sheets to protect your privacy at all times. Only the area that is being worked is undraped.  For wet treatments we recommend that you bring a two-piece bathing suit if you prefer.
